The specification of a product is an important phase of the design, this is when we need to decide on the features a new product must have, it is also a good idea to include any desirable features so they can be considered while the design is being done. As well as having the features listed we need to be clear that each feature is understood fully by all involved to avoid disappointment. Any physical constraints, or power considerations should be included. The connection to the outside world needs to be considered, If there are certain communications protocols or software compatibility requirements it is best to know early. |
